University of Tasmania, Faculty of Science, Engineering and Technology are sponors of the expedition. I have spent a combined five years at UTAS, gaining a Bachelor of Science and later a Bachelor of Teaching. If you want to get out of the bigger cities or come in from the country, as I did, it's the perfect alternative.

Welcome to Pandoz 2006

Welcome to Pandoz 2006, the mysterious world of a sea kayak expedition. Beginning March 14th I will paddle solo and unassisted from Hobart, Tasmania to Cape York, Queensland. If successful the journey will take over 200 days. This blog will be used for brief updates and photos of progress. It is also a chance for me to acknowledge my sponsors and supporters in a more world wide webby sort of way. In addition to this blog I will be writing fortnightly newsletters directly to subscribers and participating schools. For details on how to subscribe email me. I'll be playing around with this forum over the next four weeks to see what it can do, but don't expect too much until after departure day. From then on I hope to be posting something every week.
